Erectile Dysfunction

Over 100 million men worldwide live with erectile dysfunction. ED may be a result of many conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes or surgical complications such as spinal surgery or prostate surgery. There are many options to treat this condition.

TREATMENTS

  • ORAL MEDICATIONS
Viagra, Levitra and Cialis can improve the blood flow to the penis. This medication combined with stimulation may produce an erection. These medications may not be combined with nitrates.
  • VACUUM DEVICES
Vacuum devices draw blood into the penis. A rubber band is placed at the base of the penis to maintain an erection.
  • INTRAURETHRAL SUPPOSITORIES
These suppositories are inserted in the urethra and the medication is absorbed into the penis causing an erection.
  • INJECTIONS
This therapy requires an injection of medication with a needle directly into the shaft of the penis which will cause an erection.
  • SURGERY
Penile implants may be an effective option for those who have tried the other treatments without success. Implants may vary from one -piece to multipiece implants. This surgery requires at least a one night stay in the hospital.
